Report: Some G7 states oppose changing Russian oil price cap

MOSCOW, Jan 23 (PRIME) -- Some G7 states oppose changing the price cap on Russian oil, news portal Politico reported on Monday citing sources.

"Some E.U. countries, including Poland and Estonia, are backing Ukraine’s demand to lower the Russian oil price cap at its two-monthly review; but according to the diplomats there is no agreement within the G7 to change the price now," the sources said.

The E.U., the G7 and Australia limited the prices for Russian oil from December 5. A source in Brussels told reporters earlier that the E.U. planned to revise the level bimonthly and agree on it with the G7.
